About

I'm Michael. I build operations that hold up under growth.

I joined a full-service global aviation network as its first employee and spent nearly ten years helping grow it to $460M in revenue. Groma is what I learned along the way, offered to founders who are where we once were.

The story

Why "Groma"

Set the line. Hold it true.

A groma is the Roman surveying instrument used to lay out straight lines and true right angles: a crossbar on a staff, with plumb lines hanging from each arm.

Roman surveyors used it to set the lines that roads, towns and fields were built on. That's the job here. Set the line first, then build something that holds true as the business grows.

Beyond the work

Good operations make room for people.

I started a partnership program with Have Dreams, a nonprofit that helps adults with autism find work in the competitive job market.
